Three robbers arrested at Ouli during a recent attack

According to security sources, confirmed by the prefect of Kadey, Emmanuel Halpha, two robbers, Nicolas Martike 25 years and Ndélé 24 years, have been arrested. The third robber was killed during the robbery they perpetrated within a mining company, last week.

The bloody clash took place on the night of 14-15 October, in the vicinity of the settlement of the Tobacco Mining company based in Boden, in Ouli.

According to our source, the heavily armed band consisting of eight individuals, broke into this mining company, to recover gold ingots.

But they found a line of defense, consisting of elements of Ouli brigade, who were immediately joined by those of the Toktoyo gendarmerie station. The robbers were controlled and their arsenals were seized consisting of: homemade weapons, and ammunition, knives and machetes.

The two unfortunate robbers who were caught are presently at the gendarmerie in Batouri, where an investigation has been opened.
