CPDM; Call Mayor Patrick Ekema Esunge to order

President Paul Biya's recent decree reorganizing the Cameroon Peoples Democratic Movement and expelling some recalcitrant militants has given the ruling CPDM party more executive positions than militants.

In the South West Region of the ruling CPDM party, knives have always mattered. No CPDM heavyweight in the South West moves around without a pocket-knife preferably with some native "juju" spray over it. How else would a CPDM Mayor, SDO, Governor or Minister peel the skin of an opponent to make Yaounde happy?

To the South West CPDM guru, blackmailing is a means and likewise an end. This is what is currently going on at the Buea Council, the chief city in the South West Region. The current mayor, Patrick Ekema Esunge wants Senator Mbella Moki's head. He has fabricated and is teleguiding a media war with the out gone Mayor. He blames Mola Mbella for everything including the rains and the sun shine.

However, we of Cameroon Concord think his allegations against a true SWELAN such as Mbella Moki ranges from plain fiction to the most absurd.

A befitting council building may have been funded by FEICOM just like the Kumba-Mamfe road and the Albatros plane. If the building is there, then Mbella Moki did well for his people. Inheriting 47 million cfa in debt and Buea hosting the unification grand celebration without stress only betrays the new brutal and isolating regime at the Buea council now headed by Patrick Ekema Esunge.

Building the Buea financial services to the standard enjoyed by the university students takes time. Mbella Moki did that. To be accurate, who could really have transformed things in Buea when things were going radically wrong?

In putting a structure that guarantees continuity, Mbella Moki kept Mayor Patrick Ekema Esunge on the council pay roll even during when Patrick Ekema Esunge took an MA program at the University of Buea. The campaign of blackmail launched against Senator Mbella Moki is counter productive to the Buea council. May former Buea smile again------- was the issue raised by some concerned Bakweri elites in the diaspora at the time of writing this report.

For Buea to smile again, the Buea councillors will need an excellent and decent man to lead. We of Cameroon Concord are aware that the responsibility for changing and putting Buea back on track rest largely with the Bakweri Diaspora.
