Many Cameroonians wondered if CPDM Chairman President Biya had lost his mind when he stated on Cameroon Radio and Television that those who wish him death should wait for another 20 years.
Some thought for instance, that the infighting deep within his ruling party should not have been treated as a national issue. Justice Ayah and his majority following feels that the millions of Cameroonians still suffering from malnutrition and unable to feed their children, the right to sufficient food and non-contaminated water would top the CPDM already failed agenda.
But as things are unfolding in the nation's capital Yaounde, it is abundantly clear that Mr. Paul Biya and his ruling CPDM party have lost reason for their existence.
Apart from the growing distrust for political parties and the media in Cameroon, the CPDM barons have demonstrated that they are indeed extremely lacking in political finesse.
One would have thought that with CPDM legal practitioners such as Prof. Ephraim Ngwafor, Chief Barrister Tabetando, Barrister Halle Nico all prominent all over the place, the likes of Chief Inoni Ephraim, Zacheus Fonjindam and Marafa Yaya would have solicited their services!!
By some strange happenstance, Inoni's lawyer is Etah Bissong, Fonjindam has Bonu Innocent and Marafa who even pleaded publicly to the SDF Chairman Fru Ndi to get him a lawyer has Prof. Kale Ndiva!! The point CAMCORD is making is simply that these CPDM heavyweights do not even trust themselves!!!!!!!!
Perhaps I should pose this question: "If all was going well deep within CPDM government circles and there was a deal at the UNITED NATIONS requiring the services of a Cameroonian legal practitioner!! Do Cameroonians believe that Inoni, Fonjindam or Marafa would have recommended Etah Bissong, Bonu Innocent or Kale Ndiva?" I leave that to you CAMCORD readers!!
A document sent by an anonymous source from Cameroon to CAMCORD on Chantier Naval makes the whole decision behind the arrest of Fonjindam a joke!! After Fonjindam, four persons have been appointed General Manager of Chantier Naval ( including two South Koreans) with the last one failing to turn up on the day of installation.
The turn over of Chantier Naval has dropped 75% and a highly placed CPDM official was heard murmuring privately that "only Fonjindam knows what he has been doing at Chantier Naval to have raised the company to that level".
Biya and his acolytes are making a mockery of education and our nation. Yes, the CPDM has lost its moorings and its purpose. Time for a neutral third option.
