The new minister of culture, Narcisse MOUELLE Kombi seems not to have a mastery of the job description and the directives recently given by the Head of State during the last ministerial council meeting.
Ever since his appointment, Marcisse Mouelle Kombi, extremely lacking in political finesse has completely slowed down work in the ministry of culture. He enjoys the job as minister but has no vision and does not think properly prompting some political commentators to start wondering if our nation would emerge in 2035 with low spirited political actors such as Narcisse Mouelle Kombi.
Every single correspondent from his office to either the Prime Minister or the presidency filters to the press-an indication that he is not good ministerial material. What is even more disturbing is the fact that more efficient cabinet ministers including the Prime Minister and Head of Government are maintaining a kind of deliberate silence over his failures and short-comings.
Recently, he wrote a confidential letter raising some concerns against former Minister Ama Tutu Muna and a trust account of one billion FCFA that was aimed at supporting the cultural policy of the CPDM regime.
Again, the document was made public by some local newspapers in Yaounde. At these very difficult times in our country’s history with major security challenges, men like Narcisse Mouelle Kombi should not be in government. He is a good example to demonstrate that practice does not make perfect.
