Caring for all believers Part XI

The face of an eagle indicates that the four living creatures are transcendent, buoyant, and powerful in the life of God (John 6:15;Phil. 4:12-13). You will by now have appreciated that all things are done by God in man to God.This is done to head all things to Christ.

Therefore, the four living creatures with their four faces signify a coordinated, corporate entity, the corporate Christ (1 Cor. 12:12 and note 2) as the corporate expression of God among human beings. There is no indication of a "champion character" or "individual spirituality" in their mist or among the body. The four faces of the living creatures portray the life of Christ as depicted in the four Gospels: Matthew shows Christ as a lion, the King of God's kingdom; Mark portrays Him as an ox, the Servant of God; Luke depicts Him as a man, the Man-Saviour; and John shows Him as an eagle, the very God. Thus, the four living creatures are a corporate expression of Christ, living out the life of Christ.

Blessed are they who do not dispute this, but rather believe in this piece for salvation with its eventual eternal life with peace within God is very real. The world of today is the result of Satanic rebellion with men volunteering their efforts willingly or unconsciously support and worship all things Satan. What is sad is that such attitudes have taken over institutions and denominations which looks like the Church of God. It inclusive if they do not repent and change their ways will perish with them (meaning Satan and any who eat from the same plate with him in diverse ways ,unrepented).

God is love, so He has given men the foresight and discernment to announce to mankind what is yet to come through the Spirit of God and serving Angels. Later on in the age soon to come men approved previously of God who were seen during the transfiguration of Jesus Christ will return to play their part again. I am humbled that an insignificant man like me, has even the courage to share anything at all. This you too can share in the little that God has planted in you. For when you are obliged by God, fear, intimidations and abuses does not scare you as Ezekiel wasn't. My shortcomings (which is that Christ is dealing with us now on) does not deter God, rather He continues to deal with me as with other and all the saints.

But for God backing His words, the increasing number of dear saints reading and responding to the sharing is awesome, It is only the doing of the Almighty. When I default as a man and sometimes still fragile, I ( so must you) accept the punishment meted out to me as a result by my local church. Gladly I am not a single spirituality entity as others might want to indicate. I struggle with life be it in the church life and elsewhere, but sustained by grace of the Lord and the power of the Spirit. But I hope to fight a good fight through and look up to Christ who will one day complete,burning,searching, cleansing and finally restore me like the rest of the recovered saints to Himself for the consummate New Jerusalem.

V.11: Contd: Or, And their faces and their wings were spread out upward.

Verses 11b-14 convey a clear picture of the coordination of the living creatures, a portrait of the proper Church life. The joining of the two wings of the living creatures is for their corporate moving and coordination. The eagle's wing are the means by which they are coordinated and move as one. This signifies that their coordination is not in themselves ( our selves) but in God and by the divine power, the divine strength, and divine grace. This is similar to the boards of the tabernacle being joined into one building by the overlaying gold and the gold rings( Exodus 26:26-29).

The wings of an eagle are not only for moving but also for protection Whatever we do and whatever we are must be the grace of God/Lord and the power of the Lord (1 Cor. 15:10; 2 Cor. 1:12; 4:7) At the same time, we are under the overshadowing, the covering, of the Lord's grace and Lord's power ( Psa. 17:8;57:1;63:7;91:4 2 Cor. 12:9b).

The living creatures look like a man (v.5), but they move like an eagle. This indicates that we must always express ourselves like a normal man; but the moving and overshadowing wings should give others an impression that we have God with us as our power and protection. Hallelujah !!!

(Rom 15:13;Gal 5:22 )The workings of such power is by the Spirit of God " Who" by using Christ as the conduit illustrated by electricity supply works the power of God in us. The Spirit can also be illustrated by electricity. We need electricity to drive the refrigerator, the television, and many other appliances. Although electricity is so applicable,the source of electricity is far away from us in the

hydroelectric power plant. God is like the awesome power plant up at the head of the river. In order for that mighty power to be applied to us, there is the need of power lines to convey the current of electricity to us. The incarnated Christ as a man with His humanity is like the power line; He

came from God the Father to us to bring God to us in our human situation.

The resurrected Christ as the life-giving Spirit is like the electrical current that carries the mighty hydroelectric power from the power plant into our homes. The electrical current applies the power and turns it into sound, light,

heat, and other useful forms in our homes. In the same way the Spirit as the current of the heavenly electricity applies all that God is to us. Through the Spirit we have love, light, truth, joy, power, and all the attributes of God. If

we do not have the Spirit in us, our lives will be full of darkness, weakness, and suffocation. But the Spirit applies the Triune God to us and makes our life meaningful and full.

Therefore what man needs is not bigger cathedrals or more religious ceremonies; none of these will give him the inward power. What man needs is the Spirit, because the Spirit is the application of God Himself to man.In the proceeding studies we shall see further demonstrations of this and as Ezekiel recorded;how God used the four living creatures, to demonstrate this application and His workings on His children.
