Ever since Jeune Afrique reported that special forces loyal to President Biya had kidnapped and killed Dr Captain Guerandi Mbara Goulongo, the Cameroon government is yet to make an official pronouncement on this serious allegation.

Captain Guerandi who masterminded the 1984 April 6th Coup against President Biya escaped from Cameroon and beneffitted from the largese of his classmates at the Cameroon Military Academy (EMIA): Thomas Sankara and Blaise Compaore and has been a refugee since 1984 in Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso.

Cameroon Concord sources in the nation’s capital Yaounde are reporting that Captain Guerandi Mbara Goulongo whom after fleeing from Cameroon studied to PhD level had either been killed or detained at a secret location.

Some intelligence information that filtered to our newsroom says Captain Guerandi had recruited a 2000 strongman force and contacted Georges Starkman a prominent mercenary based in Paris, France for help to start a military strugle against the Biya Beti-Ewondo regime. Both Guerandi and Georges Starkman made connections with Jose Alberto Fernandes, a former Portuguese army Colonel for the purchasing of military hardware in Russia.

It is believed Retired Colonel Jose Alberto Fernandes had links with the Biya secret service operating in Europe and eventually betrayed Captain Guerandi to the Cameroonian authorities. What is even more disturbing is the silence maintain by the Biya government and even President Blaise Compaore of Burkina Faso on the whereabout of Dr. Captain Guerandi Mbara Goulongo.
