On the road to a new politicizing justice...

A news item published in http://www.icicemac.com/ cut and pasted herein caught my attention. I am unable at this point in time to make categorical statements about the merits of the allegations made against Mr Abdoulaye Harissou and one other contained in this news item.

The security operatives allegedly involved in their arrest and detention were not cited in the news item as confirming apprehending and holding them, let alone providing any reasons justifying the arrest.

However, the manner in which they were allegedly taken into custody and the allegations justifying their arrests, warrant my preliminary observations at this point in time, if only because the report may be construed as suggesting that they were abducted under circumstances that remind us of the methods hitherto used by the French and continued under Jean Forchive.

If the report posted by the news organ http://www.icicemac.com/ is accurate, then there is need to fear that a new frontier for egregious violations in the ongoing struggle for power in Cameroun has just been opened. Prior to this, the so-called fight against corruption, otherwise called "Epervier" had taken down many potential contestants for poweer within the ongoing transition politics and threatened to take down more; particularly, those who do not enjoy enough support from neo-colonial France.

Since however, France staged a spectacular armed recolonization through fomenting and aggravating political and armed destabilization of her African serfdoms to justify the overt establishment of military basis in these puppet economic graveyards, the search for puppets and lackeys to take over cosmetic governance of these neo-colonies for the next 50 years has intensified.

Under these circumstances, the use of these unfortunate effects of misgovernance, rape of the sub-region's economies and egregious violations as political tools to silence opposition is not only apparent but real.

The French and Ahidjo, Mongo Beti informs us in " Main base sur le Cameroun", used these methods to concoct an alleged plot to topple Babatoura Ahidjo with alleged use five guns and purported spiritual means so-called "Sainte Croix" and other crimes against Ernest Ouandie and others who were " hors combat" thus protected under international law, to jail and assassinate opponents who espoused a vision of a free continent from French economic vampirism and domination.

There is no gainsaying that Boko Haram and terrorists pose serious threats to the stability, progress and posterity of Africa. There must be an ideological perspective to this fight capable of mobilizing the populations of the countries that are at the forefront of the senseless aggression by these evil forces.

The ideological perspective must aim at depriving these forces of the resources and weapons with which they are fighting and killing innocent civilians and providing a basis for the recolonizing Africa. I am still to see a single arm supplier or financier of these terrorist organizations brought to justice in an international tribunal. Yet these arms and financial resources are brought into the continent and affected countries through various channels that must be known but protected for reasons unknown.

My worry therefore, is that the war against these terrorist outfits must neither be a Trojan horse to destabilize the continent nor to blackmail and stifle political opponents, real or apparent. The war requires popular support and so must be seen as fought for an on behalf of all and not just some.

It must not be used as the basis for breeding more violence, a culture of impunity, international criminality, and a subjugation of Africa far worse than what transpired at Berlin in 1884, during the slave trade, the genocides in Algeria, the Bamilike and Bassa lands, the Congo and elsewhere in the troubled continent. The battle must lead to the total freedom of Africa, failing which, it will lose its legitimacy and raison d'etre.

It must not be politicized as the ill-fated war against corruption has unfortunately been.
