On the typical black man

I feel ashamed to write this article as a proud black man. But this article is without prejudice to the intelligence of all proud blacks. The primary purpose of this article is to remind ourselves as proud blacks of our retrogressive attitudes and minds, and strive to replace the retrogressive nature with a progressive one! And I am not writing this article in mischief to produce any farcical humour. Remember that I used "typical" which means that a normal black man and not all blacks.

Also, I am a proud black man but I believe that we blacks of today are the real cause of our continent's retrogression, because our attitudes and minds are retrogressive! Why should a privileged black man be selfish? Why should a black man be ridiculously negative minded? Why should a black man abandon his cultural heritage and adopt an alien one? Why should a black man fall victim to the deception of the whites? Why should a black man devalue himself and overvalue the whites? Why should a black man entertain mediocrity?

Again, why should a black man love what is foreign more than what is indigenous? Why should a black man fill his mind with sheer superstition? Why should a black man show apathy towards his society's development? Moreover, do not expect me or anyone else to teach you how to develop a new progressive attitude and mind.

For we have to empty our retrogressive attitudes and minds and fill them with progressive ones, through the utmost consumption of most virtues!
