1- truck crushes man to death

A 27 year old trader has been killed in a motor accident around “Ancient Sonel” in Douala. This incident occurred in the evening while the victim was paving his way back home from work on his personal motor-bike.

According to eye witnesses, the deceased in an attempt to give way for a commercial motorbike rider was instead crushed by a heavy-duty vehicle which drove behind him unnoticed.

He died at the spot and the remains were taken to the Cité des Palmiers District Hospital Mortuary in Douala for identification.

2- Man found dead in his room at Bonamoussadi

A carpenter called Richard Talla was found dead in his room at the Bonamoussadi Neighbourhood in Douala.

Family members of Mr Talla testified that before this sudden event, the 40year old man had spent some exciting moments with friends and relatives, least expecting to be caught in to such a predicament shortly after.

The dead body was discovered after some curious family members and neighbours were alarmed by the conspicuous silence around the neighbourhood, which had always been animated early in the morning by Mr Talla’s carpentry tools.

The door to his room was still locked even when family members attempted to knock and shout several times. Finally, pushed by the frustration, they decided to break the door just to discover the corpse of Mr Talla Richard in his room.

While family members deposited the remains in a local hospital mortuary, investigations to the cause of Mr Talla’s death has been opened by the 12 District Police Station.
