The issue of discrimination against women and the lack of resources should not inhibit women’s efforts to achieve their fullest potential in life. Being ambitious in life is good and, therefore, women should develop courageous spirit in all their endeavours and not allow anything to scuttle their objective of competing with people at all levels.

To be positively ambitious in life is good, because it is through ambition that in our world today, we hear of people being sent to the moon, space among others. This, Today believes, requires a sense of creativity and a focused mind in order to overcome challenges that undermine women’s efforts at becoming industrious and resourceful.

This calls for equal access to educational infrastructure to women to enable them become educated, improve their skills and capabilities to enter the labour market and use financial resources to start their own businesses.

That, we on this paper are optimistic will enable women play a more proactive role on the labour market and contribute to the overall socio-economic development of the country. Undoubtedly, it will further help erase the old impression that a woman’s office is the kitchen.

In the same vein it is important women remain committed to their passions and dreams and try to research on how to reach their goals. Though it is true that women need assistance to help them achieve their aims in life they must not forget that much is required from them by showing their readiness and desire to aspire to the top.

The common belief that women are their own enemies must not be swept under the carpet. Instead, that situation should be dealt with in the supreme interest of all women, if they indeed want to succeed in various ventures.

There is ample evidence that women, particularly in Africa, spend useful time and resources on unproductive ventures like funerals, jewels, gossip and clothing, at the expense of the welfare of their wards. Elsewhere, especially in the developed countries, there a lot of women who have distinguished themselves well in their chosen careers through a dint of hard work.

If women in Africa will see themselves like their counterparts in the developed world as tools for change in their communities and countries, they will not succumb to any form of man- domination in any sector of development.
