This initiative was led by Senator Grégoire Mba Mba from February 23 to March 4, 2015 following the example of the other inhabitants of the seaside city by joining the operation dubbed, "War Effort against Boko Haram", launched by Senator Grégoire Mba Mba.

It was mobilised with slogans communicated daily by private radios in town like, "I am Cameroonian and a patriot, I belong to the entire social body of Kribi, I want peace for my country, I give my support to the forces of defence and security in war against Boko Haram, I give my contribution.

"This action carried out on the afternoon of March 4, led to contributions amounting to over 20 million francs.

During this ceremony organized at des fêtes de Kribi in Kribi, under the chairmanship of the prefect of the Ocean department, Antoine Bisaga, Senator Grégoire Mba Mba expressed their joy in reaching their goal.

Grégoire Mba Mba expressed his sincere thanks to all contributors saying, "there was a show of solidarity. I've seen even children contribute. I saw fishermen, merchants, motorcycle drivers, taxi men, officials and many from different social strata, contribute money towards this cause".

The elected president of the CPDM Ocean South, also reaffirmed his position facing the terrorist sect responsible for insecurity in the region of the far North: "They are a gang of thugs and as patriots, we cannot let these people destabilize Cameroon and disrupt our March towards emergence."
