417 students graduate from INJS

Students belonging to the 2014 badge received their scrolls for end of training on Wednesday at palais des Sports in Yaoundé.

On a total of 464 candidates in different sectors and training cycles (Advisor of youth and animation and certificate of qualification in the teaching of physical education and sports), 417 were reported successful at the end of year exams with a rate of about 89%.

The solemn graduation ceremony of learners of the 2011-2014 badge of the national Institute of youth and sports (INJS) was held Wednesday at the versatile palais des Sports in Yaoundé, in the presence of an audience of members of the Government.

According to the Director of INJS, Daniel Ngoa Nguele, these results reflect the merit of the winners. For these, the day of glory has arrived, like that of the heavy tasks that awaits them. "Through this new wave, it is possible to overcome the deficiencies in human resources in the framework of the youth," said Adoum Garoua, Minister of Sports and Physical Education.

In terms of physical and Sports Education (Eps), there is the introduction of physical education and sports days. Furthermore, in secondary education, the Eps increased from coefficient 1 to 2, thus reinforcing the importance of the teaching material. Other challenges ahead with the creation of the National Academy of football by the head of State and the organization by Cameroon of two editions of the African Cup of Nations male and female in 2016 and 2019.

Indeed, according to the inspector general in charge of academic affairs at the Ministry of higher education, graduates of the INJS now enjoy equivalence with those of universities, including bachelor and master, a concordance that offers learners the opportunity to continue their studies in compatible fields to their initial training at the INJS.
