Residents of Mile 16 Buea, South West Region woke up Tuesday morning with the shocking news of the fire that destroyed two shops in Bolifamba snatching life out of a sixty-year-old.

The deceased was caught by the flames while in a deep sleep and it’s only later that the family discovered his remains in the ruins.

Eyewitnesses say the cause of the fire is still unknown.

Material damage is valued at about 22 million CFA francs.

According to some on-lookers the blaze was facilitated owing to the fact that most of the shops are constructed with planks.
