In an exclusive interview granted Eden radio on the programme "OPEC City Forum", the president of Fako chief’s conference, HRH Chief Epupa Samuel Ekum has disclosed that some administrators in the SWR are manipulating chieftaincy titles for their personal aggrandizement including grabbing of lands.

He made this pronouncement while defending the recently published blueprint to cater for chieftaincy in Fako division.

According to the president, the supervisory authorities in the region no longer respect the traditional norms of venerating chieftaincy into the various villages in the division.

Hence, this has caused a lot of village conflicts between the elites and some chiefs and even between the chiefs themselves, meanwhile the administrator’s seat in their comfort zones and grab as much of what they want as possible.

Chief Samuel Epupa vowed that with the coming of the blueprint titled, "Chieftaincy in Fako Division, no village will accept a chief who does not meet the basic requirements of the text".

He equally added that some chiefs and administrators in Fako will in the months ahead be dragged into the Southwest administrative court for fraudulently asserting power.
