At least 20 people die in Yaounde-Mbalmayo accident

At least twenty people lost their lives in a traffic accident that occurred on Sunday 8th February, 2015 around 5.30 p.m. along the Yaounde-Mbalmayo axis leaving many with severe injuries.

According to eye witnesses, the collision occurred between a stationary logging truck and a thirty seater bus belonging to Buca travel agency. The bus was reportedly shredded completely under the shock.

The bus was said to have come from Yaounde, chief town of the region of the Centre and was heading for Mbalmayo a town nearly 50 kilometers from the capital.

The remains of deceased have been sent the Central Hospital in Yaounde where the injured victims are receiving treatment.
