Since November 2007 when Building Schools for Africa (BSFA) fund raised, constructed and handed over the first primary school in the village of Ntseimbang in Cameroon, thousands of classrooms have been constructed in the country with the objective of providing education to hundreds of local children.

Tuesday April 12, 2016 Marrianne Johnson chairperson of Building Schools for Africa Trustees together with some funders visited the community of Babajou in the West region of Cameroon to handover three classrooms, tables and benches to Government primary school Nguekong.

According to the local administrative authorities of Babajou lead by the Senior Divisional officer, the support was timely noting that the children have been studying under very precarious conditions. The donations, the representative of the mayor noted will certainly improve on results and school attendance in the area.

In Bamenda I subdivision Wednesday,April 13, 2016, Government Secondary School Bangshie was another beneficiary. Three classrooms, tables, benches and a toilet block were handed to the four years old school which before now was 196 students in just three classrooms.

While receiving the donations, the local administration appreciated SHUMAS the local execution partner for the prompt realization of the project. According to the Divisional Officer for Bamenda I Sub division the donation will serve generations.

Bilian Nyuykighan Programmes Coordinator for SHUMAS addressing the event on behalf of the Director noted with satisfaction the participation of the community which according to her greatly assisted them in the implementation of the project.

Marrianne Johnson left Bangshie with the wish of seeing a future Minister of Education from the school.
