The population of Alakoro neighbourhood and others in Mankon will soon say bye to darkness as the extension of electricity into these areas is almost complete.
Other projects enumerated by Mayor Fidelis Balick Awah during the Council session of December 8, include; construction of bridges, culverts, water boreholes, tree planting, assistance to health centres, road rehabilitation and construction of roads.
In his address during the Council session, Mayor Balick said the Indian Philosophy of “Small Money Big Change” the council introduced in 2014, has registered a lot of gains. He appealed to Councillors to file in their projects early enough so that they can be executed on time.
The year under review, he said, registered 5,603 births, 536 marriages and 450 deaths.
