All students of CUIB have been called to respect and stitch the unique and decent style chosen for the official wear.

The call was made by Azange Grace, senior year student of the School of Engineering. This is to ensure that all students appear decent, orderly and uniform at all ceremonies that require the wearing of the said official wear.

"All students should sew decent gowns as well as boys decent shirts. We do not want see-through dresses or over decorated designs as was the case in the past years," she said.

For this to be achieved, tailors have been brought on campus to take measurements and sew the dresses for the students at an affordable rate of 2000 frs, per student. The initiative to bring tailors on campus was an agreed decision by a group of senior year students backed by the rest of them.

"After speaking with the president, it has been decided that students who do not adhere to the chosen style and whose uniforms are not decent will be sent out of campus by security,"Azange Grace mentioned.

The official wear is being sewn against the up coming convocation ceremony of freshmen for this 2014/2015 academic year. Senior year students have promised to act as ushers during the event and will be open to answer questions from the freshmen.

"We are working to produce T-shirts with the words "ASK ME" inscribed on them. This is to let freshmen feel at ease and be able to ask questions when in doubt during the ceremony,"Azange Grace commented.
