Some Canadian donors have pledged to enhance Catholic Education in Cameroon.

The Canadians took the commitment recently, during a visit to the Saint Therese Women Empowerment Centre, Sabongari.

The Centre trains students in computer, mechanics, knitting, sewing and other artistic activities.

The Canadian donors also promised to sponsor underprivileged students from primary to university level. They equally pledged to offer scholarship to students to study in foreign universities.

According to the Principal of the school, Rev. Sr. Caroline Nfon, the Catholic-Canadian partnership has been very fruitful. She, however, regretted that the people of Sabongari are still to fully utilise the opportunity offered them by the Canadian donors.

She expressed gratitude to the Canadians for, not only encouraging education in Sabongari, but for also giving a big push to Catholic Education.
