Capitol Higher Institute of Health Sciences and Beauty Therapies (Capitol) has passed out another batch of students, with a 100% pass in the Higher National Diploma (HND).
That was announced during the combined 20th convocation and 9th matriculation ceremony that took place at the Bamenda Congress Hall Tuesday, December 16, 2014.

In all 24 students sat for the Ministry of Higher Education run HND program in Nursing from Capitol, with all making it through, 4 of 5 in the HND in Medical Laboratory while 13 of the 18 and 19 out of 27 successfully passed in the Community Nursing program in both cycles 1 and 2 respectively.
Mr. Ngalah Edward, CEO of Capitol also used the occasion to announced the launch of a Bachelors in Nursing (BNS/B.sc) program by 2016 to add to the other programs like the HND and Higher Professional Diploma (HPD) in Beauty, Nursing and Medical Laboratory, and the National Vocational Qualification, Certified Nurse Assistant, Licence Vocational Nursing and Licence Practical Nursing programs offered by the institute and its foreign partners.
The ceremony ended with the lightening of candles and taking of the “Nightingale Oath” by the HND graduates, and the “pinning” ceremony. It also witnessed the award of prizes to meritorious students who performed well in the course of the academic year.
Capitol will resume next academic year at its main campus at Mile 8 Mankon, situated before BHS Mankon. The institute also operates a campus at Nkwen and Bamenda central town. Capitol was created barely 20 years ago, and was in 2005 upgraded into a university centre.
