Celebration of the Chief of Ntumbaw’s life on earth

His Royal Highness Taa Nfor Nkwi Ntumbaw of Ntumbaw, Wimbum tribe in the Ndu division has been laid to rest; burial took place on 26th December 2014.

Tradition was respected as the population and elites of the Ntumbaw community came to the palace to pay their last respect to their late chief in a funeral celebration code named ¨Bfu-Bfu¨.

Often called the Father of Ntumbaw, late Taa Nfor Nkwi who headed the village for 42 years was praised for his role in developing the village. He was a farmer and viewed as a role model of peace in Ntumbaw and neighboring villages.

Elites during the ceremony were called to emulate the example of their late chief. On the occasion, the Mayor of Ndu sub division called on the elites to promote unity and work in developing the village.

Late Taa Nfor Nkwi Ntumbaw is the 19th Fon of Ntumbaw. He died at the age of 91years.

The week long celebration will be followed by the presentation and installation of a new chief of Ntumbaw this Tuesday.
