CPDM party leaders in Meme Division, Southwest Region, have assured their militants of their massive admission into the new Higher Technical Teachers’ Training College, HTTTC Kumba, “when the game begins”.
The CPDM bigwigs were speaking during the 29th anniversary of the party Monday, March 24 in Kumba I, II, III, Konye and Mbonge Subdivisions.
They all said that through political “god-fatherism”, more CPDM militants would be admitted into the institution when the entrance is announced. Addressing party militants at the Mbonge grandstand, Senator Andrew Otte Mofa urged his kith and kin to start compiling their documents in preparation for the entrance into the HTTTC.
“Prepare your files now and when the time comes for the exams to be written we will give you directives on what to do,” Otte declared. The Senator noted that most of his brethren hardly take interest in writing entrance examinations into public schools either due to lack of information or the costs involved, but now, he said, it is time for Meme Division to shine.
Chief William Ekong Sakwe, CPDM Section President for Meme II, said, “We will fight to see our sons and daughters in that school.” To Stephen Mbonda Motia, YCPDM National President, the creation of the institution is one way of fighting against unemployment.
Section President, Jacob Matchou Kay, reiterated to the party militants that their fair share of admissions into HTTTC Kumba will be guaranteed when “the game kicks off.”
A similar message of assured admissions into the college was equally echoed by Section President Isaac Nguba Mukwelle in Meme I C. Meanwhile, Kumba remained calm and it was business as usual as turnout by CPDM militants shrunk further compared to last November’s anniversary celebration of President Biya’s stay in power. Celebrations took place in camps like in the Meme I C where the President of the CPDM Women’s Wing, Rose Masama, used a different location from that of Section President Isaac Mukwelle.
The situation, The Post gathered, has caused some local party leaders to start contemplating of changing their Sections; a feeling generally felt in the SDF stronghold of Kumba II.
Others, it was reported, are thinking of either relocating to militate in Konye or Mbonge Subdivision where their political ambitions can easily be met.
