It was in the night of October 12, 2015 that neighbours last saw Yole Youly Regine, about 30 years old, who lived in the Ngangue neighbourhood of Douala.
According to her next-door neighbour, she showed no signs of ill health. The surprise came in the afternoon of Wednesday, October 14, 2015, when her corpse was removed from the room where she lived. Following an unusual odour from the room, eye-witnesses who had just retired home from work forcefully opened the door.
There on the bed was the body in the early stage of decomposition. The Quarter Head was informed and with the collaboration of security men, the corpse was conveyed in a taxi to the Laquintinie Hospital Mortuary.
