There was joy among prisoners from the main prison in Guider on Wednesday, May 21.
In the wake of the celebration of 42 years of our national unity, Senator of Front pour le Salut national du Cameroun (FSNC), Hamadou Abbo, a native of the Mayo - Louti, has resolved to rescue inmates in this prison.
So they do not consider themselves forgotten by society and also share the joy of the feast of the Unity, parliamentary by making donation of food and basic necessities.
Donations made include 10 bags of 50 kg rice, 5 cartons of cooking oil, 3 boxes of laundry soap 400 g, 2 bags of salt 18 kg and 5 solar lights torches, for managers of the penitentiary.
A humanitarian gesture that 400 prisoners from the main prison in Guider particularly appreciated and welcomed with songs, dances and ululating.
The solemn ceremony of these gifts that took part in the courtyard of the prison was placed under the leadership of Deputy Prime Prefectural of Guider, Roland Guy Aimé Bitoumou.
Also, present was the prison director, Steve Martial Kombolo Metomo, some judicial officials.
The occasion was also an opportunity the senator to give out some advice to the residents of the penitentiary, in this case, knowledge remains discreet and respectful vis-à- vis their jailers.
