Douala V : D.O. arrests prostitutes

Jean-Marie Tchakui wants to fight pimps networks and insecurity that undermine his area of jurisdiction.

prostitutes-1Really hard times for prostitutes working at a place called “carrefour Bijou Bonamoussadi” in Douala. The past weekend, some of them were arrested by the police. The dozen sex workers was taken to the police station of the 12th district. The police obeyed an order of the D.O. of the Douala V subdivision, Jean-Marie Tchakui Noundie. The land chief thus fights on his own way the insecurity and pimping which, he believes, made their beds in his area of jurisdiction.

“We see today that these girls are back in force. We could not tolerate that. That is why as part of our weekly safety committee we decided with the employees of the law enforcement agencies to conduct this operation. The D.O of Douala 5th wants to take as a challenge to clean his area of jurisdiction. He started his anti-prostitution campaign in 2014, the year following his appointment as head of the of Douala 5th subdivision.
