Elections Conducted Peacefully in Mifi, Bamboutos

West Region Governor, Midjiyawa Bakari, cast his vote at the Bafoussam City Council at 11.30 a.m.

Polls for the legislative and municipal elections in the Bamboutos and Mifi Divisions started effectively at 8 a.m. and in serenity. Nganou Djoumessi Emmanuel, CPDM campaign coordinator for Bamboutos Division ,who spoke to Journalists said he advised CPDM supporters on how to vote

West Regional Governor Midjiyawa Bakari accompanied by the SDO for Mifi, Tangwa Joseph and Government Delegate to the Bafoussam City Council, Nzete Emmanuel voted at the City Council Polling Station "B" at exactly 11: 30 a.m, where some 7 political parties are in for the legislative and municipal race. After voting, the Governor and his entourage visited some six polling stations in the Bafoussam neighborhood.

At the end of the visits, Governor Midjiyawa Bakari expressed happiness with the peace and serenity that reigned in polling stations and even since the campaign started for the twin elections. He prayed that peace and serenity continue while the results of the ballots are known in the days ahead. Governor Midjiyawa , said reports from the Divisional and Subdivisional headquarters say all was fine. On the other hand, election observers drawn from national and international bodies were seen in almost all polling stations visited.
