A fire reportedly gutted four houses at the palace of Fon Edwin Ibrahim of Moh village in Nkambe Central Subdivision, Donga Mantung Division, on Monday, January 25, 2016.
The fire that broke out at about 1:30 pm when the Fon and his family were in their farms and all the children in school burnt property estimated in millions.
The Fon and his notables have appealed to the population to remain calm until the cause of the fire is established.
Meanwhile, the President General of Moh Cultural and Development Association, MODA, Elvis Dogo Dogo, has drawn the attention of the Senior Divisional Officer for Donga Mantung, the forces of law and order, Hon. Cyprian Awudu Mbaya, the Fon of Mbot and Minister Calistus Gentry of the damage to property.
Dogo Dogo told The Post on Wednesday, January 27 that they are appealing to all people of goodwill to come to the assistance of Moh village, given the fact, the royal family needs shelter as fast as possible.
“While waiting for the findings by the investigative team from the administration and forces of law and order, we are contributing to rebuilding our palace,” Dogo Dogo said.
The fire incident occurred when the chieftaincy conflict between Moh and Nkambe village that was taken to court in 2014 is still begging for judgment.
The Moh people were charged in court for displaying royal jujus like Mabuh, Nkoh and Nwarong.
