A girl whose only name cameroun-online got as Joana, recently reportedly drugged her boyfriend, Emmanuelle Njie, and vamoosed with property worth over FCFA 500.000. The incident occurred at Bonamoussadi, the student residential area in Yaounde on May 17 2015.

Njie, a Yaounde based taxi driver, said on that fateful day, Joana visited him as usual, but complained that for some time he wasn’t satisfying her sexually. Njie said she then proposed a drug to fortify him for a veritable sexual encounter. He recounted that Joana went to a road side pharmacy and bought some 8 tablets and asked him to swallow all at once.

Njie said he swallowed the tablets without suspecting they were sleeping pills. He said, after taking the pills, both of them laid in bed, with Joana caressing him. Then he suddenly fell into a deep sleep. When he woke up at about 10 pm after being drugged at 12 noon, he discovered that Joana had vamoosed with his expensive shoes, a tablet, phone and other items. She also locked the door from outside.

Njie said it was a friend who had come to his house twice on that day, who forced one of the windows open and saw him lying in bed motionless. He said the friend called for other neighbors who broke open the door and forced him to wake up from the slumber. “I woke in a confused state wandering if I was dreaming or it is real that Joana actually did this to me” said Njie. He immediately contacted a colleague to drive his taxi and rushed to Joana’s house just to discover that she had packed out.

They then proceeded to Soa where her best friend lives, they were told that she had been in the neighborhood briefly and was seen with some luggage.

Njie said they followed her to Mvan where they saw her name on a passenger list at the park indicating that she had travelled to Kumba in the Southwest Region where she originates from. He said one of Joana’s relatives facilitated the recovery of his tablet, while efforts are being made to recover all of his property in her keeping.
