The Member of Parliament for Fako East Constituency, Limbe Honourable Etombi Gladys last Saturday, September 6, donated over 20 benches to Government Secondary School, Mabeta located in the Limbe III Council.

The benches according to the Principal of the School will go a long way to relieve the students from their worries encountered last academic year.

The Principal of the school Tayim Simon told THE SUN that, the benches will be used by form three students who would have gone without benches but for the timely intervention of the Member of Parliament.

He said he was very delighted that the request for the benches was made just a week before the positive response from Honourable Etombi.

The principal said the school is suffering from accommodation problems as it is now located in the presence of an abandoned CDC structure.

Reasons why he used the opportunity to thank the General Manager of the CDC, Franklin Ngoni Njie for allowing the school to be located where it is, pending the constructions of permanent structures.

Meanwhile the PTA President of the college, Elonge Meboka Peter, was equally very satisfied with the gesture adding that it will lighten the burden of the PTA which intended to lobby for benches and other needs of the school.

The President called on the Member of Parliament to continue with her good works as actions speak louder than words.

Also present during the donation of benches, was Councillor Ngaaje of the Limbe III Council.

Senior Councillor Ngaaje said the donation will boost the political moral of the CPDM party in the Limbe III Subdivision.

Senior Councillor Ngaaje opined that the donation is a proof that the party is ready to respond to the worries of the population at any time.

On her part, the Honourable Member of Parliament, Etombi Gladys says, education is the best thing one can provide to the community, adding that despite the very short notice, there was every reason for her to intervene especially before school resumes for the academic year.

She said if you do not know the need of your people, you cannot really reach out to them.
