The civil society and human right advocates, the judiciary and some non-governmental organisations in the North West Region are being drilled on ways to check and stop human trafficking.

The three-day capacity building workshop is a move intended to reduce the phenomenon of human trafficking in the Gulf of Guinea with Cameroon playing a vital role.

Discussions during the meeting are centred on how to curb the global issue with sanctions and deterrent measures on defaulters.

The Governor of the North West Region, Adolphe Lele l’Afrique used the occasion to condemn the atrocity saying it is a global concern which necessitates a collective effort to win the fight.
