A huge crowd turned out at the Makenene ceremonial ground to witness the installation of an experienced hand to lead the affairs of the Makenene council.
Daniel Tchaffo who is holding this post for the second time in two decades was the first Mayor of the then Makenene Rural Council following its creation in 1996. He was mayor till 2002 and has since been the municipal councillor under different mandates.
The Senior Divisional Officer for Mbam and Inoubou, Moice Tchoffo Sa’a in his installation address called on the new Mayor to use his experience and skills acquired over the years to work for the development of Makenene which is a business hub at the cross road between the Centre and the West Regions.
The election of Daniel Tchoffo by the Muncipal Councillors of Makenene on 12th December, 2014 and his subsequent installation marks the end of the 100-day role of the interim Mayor. The elite have pledge their support to the new mayor.
