Senior tax inspector working in the Ministry of Finance, Noutsa Leopold Hyacinth, will be the one to direct the socio-economic development affairs of Bayangam council area.

He was unanimously voted by the 24 councillors of the Bayangam council during an extraordinary council session that held at Bayangam on October 2, 2015, under the supervision of the SDO for Koung-Khi division, Antoinette Zongo.

Noutsa replaces late André Sohaing who passed on last July 23, 2015. He will be assisted by Wakam Dieudonné and Nipo Sylvie Honorine as 1st and 2nd deputies respectively. Both deputies maintained the positions they held in late Sohaing’s executive.

The extraordinary session was attended by a delegation of the Central Committee of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement, CPDM, headed by former Minister Clobert Tchatat, assisted by Hon. Kuinche Albert.

In his policy speech shortly after his election, Noutsa Leopold promised the promotion of democracy by integrating all meaningful suggestions in his development approach, which includes fighting against poverty, improving education and socio-economic development.

Presenting the new mayor to the Bayangam public, Koung-Khi SDO, Antoinette Zongo, stressed the importance of restoring development in the council area on top of his political agenda to meet the aspirations of the population.
