The Lord Mayor of Kumba II Council, Ndobengang Martin Forcha, has been sacked as Ward Chairman of the Social Democratic Front, SDF Fiango East Central, replaced by Ngossong Lawrence.

Militants of the Ward sent him parking last week in Kumba, following a mini reorganization of the ward, conducted by SDF South West Regional Organising Secretary, Chia Promise, who doubles as Kumba II Electoral District Chairman and 1st Deputy Mayor of the Kumba II Council.

The final sacking of the Kumba II Mayor comes to confirm the decision taken by the National Executive Committee, NEC, of the SDF, slamming the Mayor with the dreaded Article 8.2 of the party, when he challenged the SDF investiture decision, investing the National Organising Secretary of the Party cum pioneer Mayor of the Kumba II Council, Ferdinand Asapngu as Mayor of the Council, during the mayoral elections of October 2013, following the September 30 council elections, where the SDF had an overwhelming majority.

Ndobengang Martin walloped Aspangu Ferdinard in the election and is currently the Mayor of Kumba II Council, without fear or favour, despite the several calls by the SDF party hierarchy to step down.

However, the dismissed SDF Mayor of Kumba II Council has been featuring in SDF Organised activities in Kumba. He took all by surprise during the party’s 26th Anniversary last May 26, as he was seen in the manifestations, with local party bigwigs in Kumba, fully dressed in the party outfit.

Also, during the last NEC meeting in Buea he was spotted at the Moungo Bridge in Tiko with other party bigwigs waiting to receive SDF National Chairman, Ni John Fru Ndi. It is alleged that he even exchanged hands shake with Ni John Fru Ndi though he never attended the meeting at the Buea Mountain Hotel.

In his acceptant speech, Ngossong Lawrence, who hails from Lebialem like his predecessor, opined that he will continue from where his predecessor ended and will continue to work hard so that the party go places in the ward. He likened himself as an army General and promised to accompany the party to send the CPDM dictatorship parking from Cameroon so that the country will be liberated from the poverty bondage imposed by the CPDM.

Also elected were Tsakeng Bertin as Social Secretary and Michael Awanganyi as Auditor to replace late Gabriel Morfaw.

It should be noted that Chia Promise was accompanied by councillors Siga Martin and Ruth Morfaw, to execute the mission.
