Populations at Biyem-Assi Supermarket and its surroundings are still in shock after a fatal road accident which took place on Thursday, October 16, 2014, at 1630 hours.

An unregistered company semi-trailer owned by Meecham (subcontractor of Sonel) lost its control and struck many college students of Fleming NESCAS, identifiable by their uniforms, before it crushed into a shop.

The owner of the shop, a Malian in his thirties called Abbas said the students who come to shop there immediately passed from life to death.

It is through the elements of the national fire brigade that some bodies were retrieved from the rubble and deposited at the morgue of the hospital in Biyem-Assi and others to the central hospital.

However, the figure of 04 dead, announced by the CRTV TV at 20 hours of Thursday is largely undermined by local residents.

During our visit to the scene of the incident, we gathered that before crushing the shop, the trailer ripped open an apartment killing two women of advanced age, while they were lying on their bed.

Moreover, a relative living in the neighborhood admitted losing 04 of their offsprings in the same accident.
