Senate Vice President encourages awing CPDM

Supporters lauded for frontline contributions to recapture Santa Council from the opposition.

The supporters of the ruling Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement, CPDM in Awing, Santa Subdivision have stated preparedness to stay afloat after making huge contributions to recapture the Santa Council from the opposition, Social Democratic Front, SDF during the September 30, 2013 twin legislative and municipal elections.

In the short and long of it, Awing voted in favour of CPDM Councilors who emerged overall winners at the municipal elections. It was against this backdrop that Mezam II, Santa CPDM leaders were in Awing recently with a “thank you” message. The event was the Awing CPDM conference with Mbah Shupong Michael at the helm.

He doubles as the parliamentary candidate for special constituency at the twin elections. He did not emerge, but his Subsection emerged with the CPDM. That is why Mbah Shupong Michael was cheered for frontline efforts that made the ruling party shine this time around with majority councilors in the Santa council. Around to encourage militancy in Awing were virtually all movers and shakers of the CPDM in Santa Subdivision.

The roll call showcased Senator Simon Achidi Achu, Mezam II-Santa section President, John B Ndeh, Mbei Sub-section President, Fru Jonathan and the Mayor of Santa council, Khan Moses Elroy who turned full circle with prayers and messages that convinced the population to vote CPDM candidates.

Speaker after speaker in Awing urged militants to stay faithful, united and proud about the CPDM which they say is the comprehensive insurance for the development of Cameroon. Party supporters took home presents like soap in appreciation from party hierarchy.
