Gabriel Ndongfack was buried Saturday in his native village, Baleng near Dschang in the Department of the Menoua, Western region, nearly 400 km from Yaoundé.
Gabriel, the driver of Sopecam who died after a brief illness on December 27, was led to his final resting place under the helpless gaze of his family and his bosses and colleagues, whose delegation was led by Martin Martin Badjang ba Nken, editorial Director of the Cameroon Tribune (DRCT), representing the Director general, Marie-Claire Nnana.
The testimonies of relatives that followed was unanimous: Gaby was a good man, solidarity, reserved but not nasty. In the opinion of the DRCT, Gaby was one of the most dedicated, most competent personnel, who could be trusted. He was also part of those who served selflessly.
He had an innate sense of contact. And for this, said the representative of the Director-general: " Sopecam says thank you for all of the services rendered and the dedication that you gave to the business."
Recruited to Sopecam December 1, 1982, Gaby spent the most of his professional career with this company. He was the driver of special reports to the Presidency of the Republic, major events or the facts in the neighborhoods of Yaoundé.
But for more than five years, as explained by his nephew Marcelin Abena, Gaby was plagued by disease. An evil that he tried to conceal with a smile. He was buried Saturday in a typical tradition of Baleng. Farewell Gaby!
