Teachers who presented themselves at the early hours of 5 October, for the World Teachers Day celebration made a macabre discovery at place des fêtes in Bertoua.
The body of an elderly man of about 50 years old was found in the area.
They were shocked at the discovery of the body lying on the floor in a corner of the gallery. Curious, they gathered spontaneously around the body.
Administrative authorities and law enforcement forces who arrived on the site of the tragedy could not explain this sad discovery.
The body of this illustrious unknown had no trace of violence and was without clothing. The man was a disabled person. This discovery delayed the start of activities of the feast of teachers in Bertoua.
The body was removed by firefighters and deposited in the Mortuary of the regional hospital in Bertoua. An investigation was opened.
