The decision to release the students was taken after a meeting of the Disciplinary Committee of the School.

The 14 students, seven boys and seven girls are supposedly couples from the 6e, 5e, 4e and 3e classes of the French System of Education with ages ranging between 13 and 16 years.

According to the School’s Disciplinary Master, Léopold Tchuenté Tchuenté, the most damaging evidence against the accused were love letters found in the school bags of some of the accused.

At the disciplinary Council, each of the pregnant girls unregretably read love letters affirming their love relationships, the totally bewildered Discipline Master explained.

The love relationships, according to school sources, have been noticed for a long period of time.

The situation has brought up arguements in favour of more education on the dangers of pre-marital sex in schools.

Others hold that parents on their part are required to start the education process from home.
