The 9th Public Security Police Station in Deido yesterday grilled a middle-aged woman, T.S. Florentine, for allegedly pouring hot water on her neighbour, Moh Koung Rahenatou.

The business woman, Moh Koung Rahenatou, sustained burns on her face, chest and legs. She was immediately rushed to the District Hospital in Deido, Douala, in the evening of Wednesday where she is still receiving medical attention.

Witnesses said it was during an argument that Florentine poured hot water on her victim.

Rahenatou, trespassed the nursing woman’s veranda for fetching water and each time she trespasses, some water poured on it.

On that fateful day, the victim again used the reportedly narrow verandah when the bucket of water she held faintly struck the business lady and water poured on the veranda where Florentine was cooking.

Instead of pleading to calm her aggrieved neighbour down, Rahenatou bathed her with fresh water from the bucket she carried on her head. In retaliation, Florentine quickly resorted to the pot of boiling water she was about to prepare rice with, emptying it on Rahenatou.

The husband of Florentine, a driver, lamenting over the incident said their two month-old-baby, was forced into feeding on baby food alone, as the mother could no longer breast feed the baby being in custody.
