Work on 2nd bridge over Wouri revived
The resumption of works on the second bridge over Wouri project will take place in the coming days.
Didier Le Page, Director of the project for the construction of the 2nd bridge over the Wouri noted that the resumption of the work is expected before the end of March 2015.
"The work for access continues," said Didier Le Page, who noted that the preparatory work to repair the pier had started. As a reminder, on January 20 about 5 p.m., a boat assigned to transport debris dredging through Wouri, approximately 100 m long, caught in a strong current, collided with the bridge under construction, destroying between 30 and 45 metres of the boom.
Launched November 11, 2013, the construction of the 2nd bridge over the Wouri, to span over 36 months, is at a 30% completion rate, according to official sources.
