First Lady supports orphans in Angossas

The generosity of the First Lady, Chantal Biya, to orphans and rural women was further extended in the locality of Angossas, Haut-Nyong, Eastern Region, November 23, 2014.

The mayor, Anne Marie Tsitsol, who presented the precious end of year gift to the beneficiaries, was surrounded by the sub-prefect, Ngassam Wandji Amos Bell, the Departmental Delegate of Social Affairs for Upper Nyong Atagouo Sebastian.

She explained that this important gift from two structures founded by the goodwill ambassador of UNESCO. The first is from the Chantal Biya Foundation and it is intended for more than one hundred orphans from villages of Bagoboung, Nkono, Abala and Konaké. Each of the villages received a package consisting of food, school kits (notebooks, books, pens, pencils, erasers, slates), watering cans, hoes and a sewing machine.

A seminarian got a computer. The beneficiaries were quick to say thank you to the donor. "Thanks mom Chantal", they said. And Mrs Marie Chantal Meke Tsouawé added: "With the First Lady, I can settle on my own with the sewing machine she offers me" The other component of this assistance. , from CAREC, is for rural women of Angossas. This donation is made of farm machinery: several pairs of boots, wheelbarrows, machetes, shovels, and other treated improved seeds.

The town and the Chamber of Agriculture also strengthened this gift. The five schools in the city have in turn each received wheelbarrows, for sanitation and cleanliness in school. The President of the Network of Associations of Women of Mboanz (Rafangos), Ms. Christine Boula, expressed the joy of the beneficiaries. "This equipment will boost our agricultural activities. We say thank you to the first lady, who thinks of women of the forest like us. God should give her a long life, she, her children and her illustrious husband. We promise to make good use of these things, "she said.
