Woman loses child to fire accident

Shim Sheyen, 30, recently lost her four-year-old baby in a fire accident in Nkor -Noni Subdivision of the Northwest Region.

According to reports, Sheyen left her four-year-old baby at home and went out to enjoy herself at the Mbinon Market Square, putting a bush lamp beside the bed. A fire suddenly broke out and engulfed the entire building.

Witnesses said it was the cry of the baby that attracted the attention of Sheyen’s neighbours.

However, before the neighbours could contain the fire, it was already too late.

Due to ululations, which Sheyen presumably, she ran home only to gather the charred remains of her baby.

Hundreds of villagers wailed for the gruesome death of the child, meanwhile, Sheyen’s neighbours called in the forces of law and order who took her into custody.
