Christians from both Pentecostal and Protestant congregations gathered in their different congregations to seek the face of God for 2015.

The unique message sounded in most of these churches was that Christians should bury the hatchet of 2014, as they hope for a better year 2015.

Christians on their part had to retrospect on the failures they recorded in 2014 as individuals and as a church so they could use them as a stepping stone to succeed as 2015 unfolds.

Christians especially from the Salvation Baptist Church Obili were urged to present all their plans before the Lord who is capable of helping them succeed according to His perfect will.

The 31st night was marked by prayers for individuals, families, the church and the nation of Cameroon in particular.

Healing and the deliverance of God’s people from all forms of bondage was also a point of focus in most of the congregations.

A glaring example was at the Light World Mission, where thousands of Christians had gathered to seek for healing, deliverance and miracles under the theme: “2015: The Year of Sudden Change.”

Its Pastor Leslie Nsame, said the crossover night will help eliminate demonic spirits of hindrance, blockages, marital and financial delays, etc. so that Christians will be more productive during this New Year.

At the Winners Chapel International Biyem-Assi, Christians watched the crossover service live on a giant screen from the headquarters of Winners’ Chapel International in Lagos (Nigeria).

The Fullness Chapel in Yaounde had a similar story to tell. The pastor of the church Peter Yakum said it was a night of destiny encounter with God and a night full of prophecies. To him, after this great encounter with God, Christians will return home not only with healing and deliverance but with more spiritual stamina to face the New Year.

When the clock struck to announce 2015,shouts of joy and acclamation were heard in all the churches, praise, worship and thanksgiving was intensified as Christians appreciated God almighty for the brand New Year.

The celebration was also marked by a ceremonious visiting of the prophetic tree or baskets where each Christian picked up a verse to guide them for the New Year.
