In order to take the gospel to every nooks and crannies of the Wouri Division in the Littoral Region, the Evangelical Church of Cameroon, ECC, has again decentralised its services. The number of Synod Regions of the church has increased to three in the Division with the latest being the Wouri South Synod Region commissioned on Sunday, November 30.

During an ecumenical service at the Temple of the New Bell Centre Parish, the First Vice President of Evangelical Church of Cameroon, Pastor Priso Mongole Richard, exhorted congregants as well as other participants to the commissioning of the Synod Region and its pioneer President, Pastor Nono Kepatou Joseph, to emulate Jesus Christ.

Taking his gospel message from the parable of the good shepherd in the Bible, Pastor Priso Mongole Richard called on the Wouri South pioneer President Pastor Nono Kepatou Joseph to be good as Jesus Christ in that parable.

ECC President General, Pastor Batome Henga Isaac, who presided over the double ceremony in the presence of administrative, political and traditional authorities as well as Christians of the church commissioned the Wouri South pioneer President, Pastor Nono Kepatou Joseph, into his function and launched the new synod region.

Speaking shortly after his commissioning, Pastor Nono Kepatou said he is placing his mandate under “Au travail” or “To work”. He said it is time to work for God through the service of humanity.
