Mgr. Emmanuel Abbo, formerly Diocesan Bursar and parish priest of Gada Mabanga in Ngaoundere, has been appointed Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Ngaoundéré.

The information was relayed by the Abbot Aurélien Lehoun Mbea, responsible for the communication of the diocese, also principal of Mazenod College, was immediately confirmed by Bishop Abbo Emmanuel.

Accompanied by a dozen priests, he went to the Chapel to say a prayer. Born on July 17, 1969 in Carna, Mbe Division, département of la Viña, Abbo Emmanuel was ordained a priest on June 24, 2000.

After his Theology studies, he completed studies in management at the Catholic University of Central Africa. Former student of Mazenod College just as Bishop Joseph Djida, Abbo Emmanuel is a diocesan priest. He is popular for his usual declaration of his motto, "let your yes be yes and your no be no".

His first challenge however is to organize a dignified funeral for the late Bishop Joseph Djida, who died Tuesday after a short illness at age 70, after 39 years of priesthood and episcopate 14 years.
