Pastors urged to shun fornication, adultery

Newly ordained pastors and church workers of the Faith Foundation Assembly International have been urged to shun fornication, adultery and other vices that may weigh down on them as they step into God's vineyard.

Reverend Relindis Torchi made the appeal at the Faith Foundation Assembly Auditorium Kumba, on October 26, during a sermon dedicated to the ordination of pastors and church workers.

Speaking at the sermon, Reverend Torchi exhorted the new ministers of God and church works to always bear in mind that habits such anger and bad language will hinder the love of God in their lives.

Torchi said excess luggage, which some Christians and pastors may carry in some cases, include; fornication, adultery, alcoholism and insubordination. These vices, the woman of God noted, stand as obstacles to the assignments God has given to His servants and children.

Drawing inspiration from the Book of Genesis, Chapter 12, the woman of God said, just like Abraham departed from his relatives to a new place where God made him prosper, the newly ordained must accept their new call in all humility and honesty to experience the power and blessings of God.

Conducting the ordination ritual, the presiding President of Faith Foundation, Apostle Joshua David, told the congregation that those ordained have paid a price in training and other tests needed to make them fit for their respective offices.

According to Joshua, the ordained, who fall in the category of Apostles, Prophetess, Reverends, Evangelists and Deaconesses have been commissioned officially with the backing of God to perform their duties.

He said, through spiritual drilling, it was possible to decode the respective offices of the newly ordained ministers of God.

Going by the apostle, the ordination has been done with the assessment of the New Day Fellowship of Churches and Ministries in Houston Texas, USA.

In this light, the President said with the approval of the concerned Board headed by Archbishop Thomas E Wallace, a presiding prelate in Texas, Anice Nana, Rolande Noumbissi, Marie Solange Kwekam and Loveline Bih were ordained as Deaconesses , while Glory Ngala was commissioned as an Evangelist. Laura Bih and Evirge Flor David got the Reverend approval. Sandra Nyani was given the certificate of a Prophetess and Maxcel Fokwen an Apostle.

The ordained were urged to function as true servants of Christ and not wolves in sheep clothing.
