Youths delivered of witchcraft at PCC camp

The just ended one-week youth camp organised by PCC in Douala bringing together close to 190 participants did not only achieve its aim of drawing youths closer to God but also saw the deliverance of some youths who were terribly inclined to witchcraft practices.

With youths of the PCC at the helm of the camp and other youths from different denominations, they were able to work under the theme; “Our Responsibility for Kingdom Advancement,” drawn from Matthew 9: 37-38 and Romans 10: 13-17.

The Coordinator, Ernest Ekuka, said they discovered that parents live with their children in the house without knowing who they truly are, and advised parents not to let go of an opportunity like the youth camp for their children.

“You can see a child in the house but that child is a mother or a father somewhere. The day I was to pray, by the special Grace of God, many youths manifested and were delivered. A spirit through a sister confessed to me that it had nine children with her and she was not even aware of it but goes to church everyday,” Ekuka said.

He added that another participant revealed that she is a princess in a mermaid world saying that it is not the first time she received deliverance and the spirit in her kept proclaiming that it was there to reinforce its powers in her.

Talking to this “princess” who pleaded not to be named, she said she was sent by her Queen mother to distract other youths of the camp who came for a change in their lifestyle but, unfortunately for her, the Holy Spirit arrested her and her motives, she said showing this Reporter a perfume she brought for the initiation process.

According to the Lead Coordinator, Paul Chin, we live in an era whereby all youths have been condemned on the line of activities they have focused on, for which the society looks at them as a disappointment of tomorrow. He said their objective was to convene these youths and drill them in their responsibilities in making the world a better place through their service in God’s vineyard.

“The work is heavy but the labourers are few! says the Lord. Looking at the present day Cameroon, there are so many things which are not going on well. We want to bring up youths so that they will rule this country in a God-fearing way. It is often said by Cameroonians that the country is being ruled by occultists, that is why things are getting out of hand, but by the special Grace of God, we shall triumph,” Chin prayed.

Chin said, despite their efforts, they encountered some challenges which limited the success of the camp. He recounted some of them, including; indiscipline especially as the youths came from diverse backgrounds, insufficient funds, resistance from persons who are not used to long hours of fasting, praying, early morning rise-ups, some youths who came there with hidden motives like stealing and more.

Representing the PCC as the supervisory body, Rev. Mrs. Prudence Mforlem pledged to follow up those who openly denounced Satan, so that they do not go back into the evil world.

“In the process of uplifting the spiritual lives of these youths, we had facilitators like Rev. Paul Mbwoge of PC Small Soppo, Rev. Jones Ayuk, Dr. Assam, who taught them on many aspects, some of which were; stewardship, God’s Grace, resisting the devil, parent and child relationship, Holy Spirit, health talk, home management, sports, marriage among others.

The youth camp was the 10th of its kind and it is being spearheaded by the Congregational Youth Choirs of the PCC.
