Cameroon and Côte d’Ivoire’s chances of qualifying for the All-Africa Games Brazzaville 2015 were weakened on Sunday, following their away defeats to Zimbabwe and Burkina Faso respectively in the first leg of the final round of qualifiers.

The U-23 Indomitable Lions were beaten 1-0 in Harare by the Warriors, thanks to a 21st minute winner from midfielder Wisdom Mutasa.

Meanwhile, Burkina Faso came from behind to seal a 2-1 win over the Ivoirians in Ouagadougou.

Cédric Kouadio put the Elephants ahead on the stroke of half time, with Faïçal Ouédraogo heading in a 55th minute equaliser for the Stallions who secured the home victory two minutes from time through an Alassane Sango’s free-kick.

Mozambique and Sudan also did the job in front of their fans against Ghana and South Africa respectively, while Nigeria and Mali were held at home by Zambia and Senegal.

Egypt were the only side to enjoy success on the road, with a 2-0 victory in Burundi on Saturday.

The return legs are scheduled for 10-12 April with the seven winners on aggregate to join Congo at the final tournament.
