The New York Red Bulls have another bona fide international soccer player in their ranks: Anatole Abang won his first cap for his country on March 26, making an off-the-bench debut for Cameroon in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa.

Abang joined the fray just a few minutes after Cameroon had fallen behind for the second time in the game, to a quite phenomenal goal by Hlompo Kekana.

Nicolas Nkoulou equalized for the home team, and the 2-2 score held to the final whistle.

A nervy, come-from-behind draw on home ground isn't the ideal start for recently-appointed Cameroon head coach Hugo Broos, but the Indomitable Lions remain undefeated in their AFCON qualifying group. And undefeated in games featuring RBNY's Anatole Abang.

Cameroon and Abang now head to South Africa for another AFCON qualifier on March 29.
