Barca hoping to sell midfield flop.Barcelona are hoping to find a buyer for midfield flop Alex Song this summer, but are currently struggling to sell the unwanted squad player, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Cameroon international has not managed to make a significant impact at the Nou Camp since he made the move from Arsenal back in the summer of 2012, with plenty of quality competition for places limiting his first-team opportunities at the club.
Song now looks likely to be on his way out of Barcelona this summer, following the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal new-boys Cesc Fabregas and Alexis Sanchez, as they seek to make major changes to the squad that finished trophyless last season, with another new signing in midfield already being made in the form of Ivan Rakitic.
Five big clubs have been linked as having looked into the possibility of signing the 26-year-old, including Chelsea and Manchester United, but none have made a formal offer for the player, and it looks like the Catalan giants may struggle to get him off their books this summer.
Napoli, Inter Milan and Marseille are mentioned as the other clubs interested, but it seems none are willing to pay up for a player who has gone two seasons without many games or impressive performances.
